12-week strongman program
This is for someone that has mastered the compound movements and wants to begin introducing or improving their technique with strongman events. The first 5 weeks of the program will lead you up to an estimated 1 rep max, then you will reload and for the second half of the program you will work off of your percentages.
This program will be 4 days a week with each workout ranging from 1.5-2 hours and includes dynamic warm-ups, compound movements, strongman specific lifts, accessory and conditioning.
To make this program suitable for what events are most intriguing or available to you I have given you options to have flexibility with what implements you choose.
EX:
Press day: choice of: log, axle, DB or odd object. *If you choose DB you will train both arms.
Deadlift/Squat day: choice of axle, car simulator or wagon wheels
Moving day: choice of farmers, yoke or frame
Loading day: choice of stones, sandbag, keg, or odd object of choice
